Tulsi Patel
AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer
Tulsi Patel ’20 joined the Civic Engagement Center in the fall of 2020 as an AmeriCorps VISTA for the 20-21 academic year. She will be working on food justice and related issues of climate change and public health, on and off campus. Tulsi graduated in May as an Environmental Studies major with a concentration in Food, Agriculture, and Society. She studied abroad with SIT and has had internships with the MPLS Public School Farm to School Program and Frogtown Farm. Additionally, she led the MacShare Program last year with support from the Idea Lab.
During her time as a student, Tulsi was active with African Music Ensemble, Asian Pacific Awareness Month, Sexual Violence Prevention Month and was a past chair of the Queer People of Color Collective.
