In recognition of David A. Lanegran’s commitment to engagement with the community, the Lanegran Endowed Fund supports a range of activities that help to dissolve the wall between the classroom and the broader world for geography students.

Annually, the Geography Department hosts Lanegran Days which consists of several activities supported by the endowed fund including, visiting speakers and guest lecturers, and community engagement outings.

David Lanegran ’63 was actively engaged as a teacher-scholar at Macalester College for 46 years (1969-2015) and continues today connecting with students, alumni and the Macalester community.
