Kristin Beckmann
High Winds Fund Committee Member and Chair
After a career of public administration and nonprofit management, Kristin Beckmann is currently a consultant who advises foundations and nonprofit organizations engaged in public policy. Kristin served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor Tim Walz and Saint Paul’s Deputy Mayor for Mayor Chris Coleman. She was on the executive teams of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, Center for Economic Inclusion, and the MN State Council of the Service Employees International Union. In addition to her volunteer leadership role on the High Winds Fund, Kristin is a Commissioner of the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency, and serves on the Board of the YWCA Saint Paul and the Advocacy Committee of the Friends of the Saint Paul Library. Kristin is married to another 1992 Mac grad, Robert Richman. They live in Saint Paul, have two adult(ish) children, and are members of the Mount Zion Congregation.
