High Winds Fund Committee Member
Eric Muschler joined GMHF in late 2021 as the Director of Housing & Health Equity, a new position that explores the multiple connections and benefits of housing with social determinants of health. He had served the Twin Cities community as a program officer with the McKnight Foundation for 15 years, always driving toward expanding economic opportunity for people of color and low-income communities. He believes that housing stability is the foundation for opportunity especially when connected with other economic supports like education, workforce, asset and wealth building, and community economic development. Prior to joining the Foundation, Eric founded the Michigan Individual Development Accounts (IDA) Partnership and Michigan’s Asset Building Policy Project. He holds a master’s in community planning from the University of Cincinnati and a bachelor’s degree from Macalester College. He was also a Center for Community Investment (CCI) Fulcrum Fellow studying mission investment and integrated grantmaking to advance opportunity.
