More than 500 new students, representing dozens of US states and more than fifty countries, moved into their residence halls during New Student Orientation. On August 31 things got underway with move-in day as families helped haul boxes, set up dorm rooms, and took pictures in front of the large MAC letters in the middle of campus. Throughout the week, students got to know one another through their Scottish House groups—a signature orientation feature at Mac. Plenty of other activities kept these newest Scots busy and learning about their new home, from a s’mores night social to crafts and coffee crawls around campus. A big welcome to the Class of 2030!
