Perkins Exit Hints for UAS Loan Servicer Site:

  • When creating a username it is easiest to use the Social Security Method
  • If you don’t have a driver’s license you must type in the word ‘none’ to continue
  • The postal code that is requested for verification is typically the one associated with your permanent home address
  •  When entering your email for verification, enter your Macalester email address first. After your account has been verified you should then ‘edit’ the email and change it to your permanent non-Macalester email address
  •  If you are not sure who your future employer will be you may leave it blank
  •  Be prepared to have the names, addresses, phone numbers and emails for 3 personal references who will always be able to reach you
  •  During the Required Reading section you must click on the small box in the lower left corner each time you have finished opening and reading a document.
  •  If you have Perkins and Direct loans remember that you will need to complete two separate online exit sessions. The Perkins loan exit session is at www.myloancouseling.com and the Direct loan exit session is at https://studentloans.gov
