The Performance Design and Technologies minor consists of 24 credits. For those pursuing both the Theater and Dance major and the Performance Design and Technologies minor: electives for the minor must be different from courses counting for the major. Students must fulfill the following requirements:

THDA 110 - Introduction to the Study of Performance
- THDA 235 - Fundamentals of Scenography
- At least 16 elective credits:
THDA 125 - Technologies of Performance
THDA 145 - Make-Up Design and Application
THDA 232 - Crafting the Tangible
THDA 255 - Lighting Design
THDA 285 - The Art of Costume Design
THDA 375 - Set Design
THDA 80 - Performance Practice
THDA 81 - Technical Practice
Please note: THDA topics courses in design also count for this minor (for example: Sound Design, Digital Arts for Live Performance, Model Building and Rendering, Intermediate Technologies of Performance, Dance and Performance Design). Check with your advisor to ask about specific courses.

Students may not use the same set of courses for different minors in the Department, with the exception of gateways.
To request that a given course count toward a major or minor requirement, students should submit the syllabus and explanation to the Department Coordinator for faculty consideration. This includes transfer and study away courses.
International Baccalaureate (IB) courses do not count toward the major or minors. Higher level (HL) IB courses may be submitted to the registrar for college credit consideration.
