Mac in Your City

The 2025 Mac In Your City events were a success! An enormous thank you to all of our more than 100 hosts that did a phenomenal job in putting together creative and meaningful experiences for alumni and their families – all over the world.

We had nearly 60 events in 13 countries! Each event was another reminder that the Mac spirit is in your community and connects us across the globe. The Macalester community is here for you wherever you are – for support, for inspiration and for rejuvenation. Mac In Your City events helped connect and reconnect alumni – and sparked future connections!

We heard stories about alumni living within blocks of each and didn’t know. Of neighbors that saw the signs for the event and stopped by because they have Mac connections. Of the plans already in the works for future outings together. And so much more!

You don’t have to attend a Mac In Your City event to stay connected with your Macalester community!

• Make sure your information is updated in MacConnect—a hub for interacting with alumni and faculty, as well as seeing the latest events and social media postings.
• Volunteer—consider volunteering in your region.
• Learn more about the Macalester Fund and how it ensures that future students have access to the Mac experience too. 
• Join us on campus for Mac Fest on October 10–11, 2025.
• Mark your calendars for Tartan Trivia on February 19, 2026, and watch for Give to Macalester Days in the spring of 2026.
