Facilities Services

Facilities Services is responsible for the maintenance, repair, safety, and security of College buildings and grounds, as well as managing campus building construction and renovation projects. We strive to provide a campus environment where living, teaching, learning, and working can happen in spaces that are safe, reliable, efficient, and comfortable.

Submit a Ticket

Please submit a ticket for all non-emergency requests. If your request is urgent (leaks, loud noises, smoke etc), please also call Facilities Services 651-696-6278 (business hours) or Public Safety 651-696-6555 (after hours) so that the issue can be promptly addressed.

Parking

The west entrance to the Old Main building. The tan brick façade creates an arch over the double glass door entrance. There is a small black card reader on a handrail a couple feet extended from the left door handle, next to the ADA accessible door opener button.

Maps & Directions

New Residence Hall & Welcome Center

At the heart of upcoming campus building and renovation projects is a new residence hall and welcome center, expected to open in 2027.

Rooftop Solar Panels

Take a video tour of the rooftop solar array on the Janet Wallace Fine Arts Center, which was installed in 2019.

Renovated Campus Center

Macalester renovated the interior of the Ruth Stricker Dayton Campus Center in the summer of 2024.
