Red Smith-Sweetser BS, MS

Red joined the Hamre Center in October 2025 and approaches their work through a lens of intersectionality and community care, with the understanding that societal structures and health are intrinsically bound together. They believe in co-created spaces where everyone feels welcome and feels that their voice is heard.

When not at work, you can find them biking, gardening, hanging out with their cat, and cooking for their friends and spouse. If you need your ear talked off, ask them about their love of worker co-ops and screenprinting!

Red holds a BS and MS in Chemistry and has lived in the Twin Cities since 2020.
