The Health Promotion team aims to foster a campus environment in which students feel empowered to make healthy choices that contribute to their overall personal and academic success. We also work to identify and break down structural barriers to health and wellness on campus.

Items you can request from this form: 1) Safer Sex Supplies (kits for individuals) 2) Drug/medication disposal kits, 3) Fentanyl Test Strips 4) Menstrual cups 5) Safer Sex Supplies (for Residence Halls) You do not have to provide your name or email to request these items. Items are delivered in a non labeled package to your SPO

Requestable Workshops

Health promotion at Macalester offers six requestable programs which can be requested by any group/faculty/student organization/team. Programs include: V-A-R (Peer to Peer Mental Health Program), Personal Sustainability and Boundaries, Mac Fact: Social Norms Trivia, Procrastination, Sleep, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer Sucide Pervention), Additional information about each program is found on the form.

Job Opportunity: Health Promotion Assistant in the Hamre Center

Are you interested in supporting your fellow students? Do you have a passion for making changes on campus to enhance well-being? If yes, you should apply to be a Health Promotion Assistant. HPAs work to promote a culture of well-being at Macalester through education, programming, and sharing of resources. This team will approach this work through the lenses of equity and intersectionality, specifically working to center folks who have been historically de-centered in these conversations. HPAs will also have opportunities to gain professional knowledge and skills that will continue to serve them beyond their time as a Macalester student.
