6:00 – 7:00 pm, Power Yoga and Pain Relief, Studio 2
Many students report study-related aches and pains throughout the semester and are often just “push past the pain”. This class will use the movements of yoga flow as a way of inviting the mind to navigate the sensations of stress in the body. The movements and intention of each practice will be based on a mindfulness check-in at the beginning of the class. We will work on strengthening legs, core, arms, and shoulders and releasing tension in the neck, back, and hips. Optional hands-on assists. Come and have fun getting on a sweat with us. Modifications will be provided and students of all levels and abilities are welcome.
Instructor:  Christy Kim

7:00 – 8:00 pm, Flexibility, Balance, Dance, Studio 2
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to enjoy dancing in a way that is jaw-droppingly, 100% you? This is a strength and skills building workshop catered to those who are new to moving their bodies (i.e. have never danced before) but want all the fun of being able to drop it low, get upside down, and find or polish your own style of dance! Classes will begin with active stretching and conditioning, safely progressing to several balance postures and ideas for dance, and will end with time to play with what you’ve learned in a combo or short choreography to your favorite jams!

This is the space to challenge yourself with something new, have fun, and become comfortable with who you are.  All skill level is welcome, and all aspects of instruction will involve modifications to make things accessible for you. Please message the instructor ahead of time for any song, stretching, and dance requests or accommodations.
