During senior year, Latin American Studies majors complete their capstone, an original research project of their own design, often based on work done during their junior year semester abroad.  Although it an independent project, the student completes it within the workshop environment of the Senior Research Seminar, which meets fall semester. Capstones are then shared with academic and community audiences through one of these ways: conference presentation, journal publication, community publication, or civic engagement presentation. For more information about Latin American Studies capstone projects, please contact our program director, Ernie Capello.
