Stephanie Alden

Stephanie Alden supervises, trains, and recruits science tutors and Supplemental Instruction leaders; counsels students individually on time management and study skills; and works in other ways to enhance students science education experience at Macalester.  Stephanie serves an important role on campus as a liaison between the science departments (and other departments that participate in the SI program on campus) and the MAX Center.  She also helps to run summer programming (RISE Chemistry Workshops).

Stephanie has over 30 years experience working in the field of science education. She has worked in a variety of settings including higher education, international schools, formal and informal secondary science classrooms, museums, and environmental education centers.
