Tapio Riihimaeki:-2010 Fellow
My Chuck Green Fellowship project was to support Community Reinvestment Fund (CRF) in the work that they have been doing over 22 years –transforming the community reinvestment field by providing access to capital to disadvantaged communities across the country. More specifically, I created a manual for new employees, interns and volunteers so that they can have a faster transition to the organization and its accounting department. As the summer was the end of their fiscal year, I also assisted preparing the organization for audit of financial statements and created reports on their loan portfolio. I was also lucky enough to see the importance of their work being highlighted as they won a $500,000 dollar award from Sam’s Club Giving Made Simple campaign!
