Nicholas Schaser teaches courses in biblical and Jewish studies. He received a Masters of Theological Studies in Old Testament from Luther Seminary (2010) and a Masters of Arts in Jewish Studies from Vanderbilt University (2013). He also completed his Ph.D. in Jewish Studies and New Testament at Vanderbilt in 2017. His research interests include the comparative study of early Judaism and Christianity, biblical reception and interpretation in the New Testament and rabbinic literature, and modern Jewish-Christian relations. His dissertation Matthew and the Rabbis: Symbol and Scripture in Gospel and Midrash, compares the theological and sociological implications of biblical exegesis in the Gospel of Matthew and Genesis Rabbah.
