Academic Accommodations

If you have a disability or other condition requiring reasonable accommodation, you are strongly encouraged to register for accommodations through Macalester’s Center for Disability Resources (CDR). The accommodations you receive at Macalester may or may not be available, or may look different, on your study away program or at your host institution. Therefore, it’s important to coordinate with both the CDR and your study away advisor or on-site program staff well in advance. Please be aware that it is your responsibility as a student to ensure any processes are followed or deadlines are honored with your study away program/host institution (including providing documentation). Because it can take time to set up accommodations and determine what is reasonable for programs outside of Macalester, we encourage you to begin the process as soon as possible.
