Thank you for your interest in attending Macalester College as an exchange student. Macalester College currently has exchange agreements with five institutions, listed to the right. If you are a student at one of our exchange partner institutions, please reach out to you host university’s exchange office to learn more about the process and get started.

Apply to be an Exchange Student
First, contact your university’s international office and follow your on-campus application process. If you obtain a nomination from your home university, you are ready to apply to Macalester. The application for Spring 2026 incoming exchanges to Macalester is now open. The deadline to apply is October 2, 2025.
