Mutual Fund Shares

If you would like to make a gift to Macalester College using mutual fund shares, the best way to proceed is for you or your broker to contact

Chris will need the following details from you:

1. The exact name of the mutual fund
2. The name and phone number for the company holding the mutual fund shares
3. The number of shares you would like to give to Macalester

Using this information, we will be able to determine which steps Macalester will need to take to complete the transfer. Depending on the type of mutual fund and how it is held, the transfer may take anywhere from a few days to several weeks to complete.
