Steve Woodward is an independent editor and designer at Woodward Creative. He has over a dozen years of experience in the publishing industry and has worked at Graywolf Press and Milkweed Editions. His list of authors includes New York Times bestsellers, winners of the Booker Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award, and finalists for the Pulitzer Prize, National Book Award, Booker International Prize, and LA Times Book Prize.

In addition to his work at Macalester College, he launched the editing semester in the low-residency MA at Sierra Nevada University, and teaches at Normandale Community College and Hamline University. He has an MFA in fiction from the University of Michigan and has spoken about editing and publishing at a number of conferences and venues, including AWP, the Loft Literary Center, Story Studio Chicago, the Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference, and Grub Street’s The Muse and the Marketplace.
