Entrepreneurship & InnovationIn Germany, youth involvement in extremist crimes has gone up by more than 60% since 2019. Research shows that these young people don’t commit crimes out of ideological conviction first and they are drawn to these groups because of offers of belonging and meaning. This summer, in partnership with one of Germany’s leading de-radicalization centers, I’m building and distributing an open-access, one-hour class, consisting of five modules on self-narrative, belonging, contribution, meaning, and technological literacy, that any teacher can teach in their own classroom.
