Entrepreneurship & InnovationBorn from a barrier I understand personally as a child of immigrant parents and an international student in the U.S., demystify.org is a platform built around a shared struggle: tax documents filled with confusing legal jargon, in a language that was not designed for you, and no affordable way to understand them. Co-designed alongside Somali community members in the Twin Cities, the web app provides a simplified machine translated output tailored to the language, while connecting users to trusted interpreters through local partner organizations. This dual approach reduces financial burden while maintaining accuracy and trust, when nuance matters most. By first focusing on one community and one language, demystify.org builds a scalable model for global tax literacy that can grow to serve other languages and communities over time.

TapeTags, focuses on creating custom decals (tags) that give players a simple, creative way to personalize their tape. Whether it’s the tape on hockey blades, wrist tape or ankles tape, these tags are designed to apply seamlessly directly onto the tape job itself (or blade). Tapetags offer an easy way for players to stand out and express their individuality on the ice, field, or court.
