The Macalester College’s Human Resources provides service in the areas of staff employment, benefits, compensation, student employment, labor and employee relations, management consultation, training and HR information management systems in alignment with the values, vision and mission of Macalester College. Welcome Kara Zetzman!

Please join the Human Resources Department in welcoming Kara Zetzman to our team as the new Employee Relations and Training & Development Manager Kara is a senior HR professional with 15 years of HR experience in a variety of industries; including banking, non-profit, and medical devices, with her most recent role as an HR Director. Throughout her various roles in HR, Kara has focused on creating inclusive and meaningful employee experiences through training, leadership development, talent and performance management, employee engagement, and strategic planning. Kara is also a strong advocate and sponsor for DEI in the workplace and is certified as an Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) administrator. In her free time, Kara enjoys attending her kids’ activities, hiking, volunteering in the community/school, and game nights. Kara lives in the south metro with her husband, son, daughter, and two rescue dogs. We’re excited for Kara to apply her experience in Training and Development and Employee Relations to bring a positive impact to the Macalester community. Please help us give Kara a warm welcome to Macalester.
