As a native Minnesotan, Britt loves to help international students acclimate to life in the Twin Cities by assisting with anything from discussing cultural matters to visa regulations, from navigating the US healthcare system to surviving and thriving in MN Winters. Prior to coming to Macalester, Britt worked with international and study abroad students at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) for over 10 years, worked with ELL students at the University of St. Thomas and taught English on the tiny island of Yakushima, Japan. She has served on the Minnesota International Educators board as Chair and has presented at annual NAFSA conferences. 

Britt holds a B.A. in Communication from St. Ben’s/St. John’s and an M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from St. Cloud State University.
