Kagin Commons, 123
+1 (651) 696-6849

He/Him/His

Luyen is here to assist students with questions about academic, cultural, employment and taxes, and government regulations.  His goal is to work at all the private colleges in Minnesota, just kidding, but he has worked at St. Olaf and Carleton Colleges in the areas of admissions, academic support, exchanges, and international student and scholar advising.  Prior to returning to Minnesota, where he grew-up, he did research in Singapore and worked in Thailand for non-governmental organizations in education and international development, and has worked or studied in parts of Asia and Indian subcontinent, Europe, and Latin America.  He has served on the Council of International Schools’ Asia Committee helping to organize recruitment tours to Asia and Indian subcontinent, board member of Minnesota International Educators (serving as chair), trainer for NAFSA–the Association of International Educators; and has presented and consulted on international admissions and advising.

He has a BA from St. Olaf College.
