Kathy Kohl (she/her) has designed costumes for nearly 50 years, 40 of them for a wide array of Twin Cities theaters – professional, non-professional and academic. Recent credits include History Theatre, Open Eye Theatre, and Frank Theatre, for which she has served as Resident Designer for 35 years. She supervised the Hamline University costume shop for 7 years, managed the costume rental department and was Head Costumer at Norcostco for 21 years, and since 2021, is co-owner and founding member of The Costume Collective, the Twin Cities’ newest costume rental business. Kathy’s experience and interest in history, music, art and research have provided a strong foundation for her designs. She takes great pleasure in the collaborative nature of theatre.
