Staff and Organization Contacts

A number of departments/groups exist to work with and for Departments and Student Organizations. Feel free to contact the following groups to help you with your planning or organizational needs.

Center for Student Leadership & Engagement (CSLE)

All student hosted events must be sponsored by a Chartered Student Organization. CSLE offers excellent resources to assist student orgs through every step of the event planning process.

Bon Appetit Catering

Bon Appetit offers a wide variety of catering options that fit all your event needs. They have exclusive catering rights in the Kagin Ballroom, Ruth Stricker Dayton Campus Center, and the Leonard Center Athletics and Wellness Complex.

AV Services

AV Services provides support in event spaces utilizing in-room technology such as microphones, projectors, etc.

Digital Resource Center (DRC)

If you want to self-serve your Audio Visual needs, you can contact the DRC to check out speakers, microphones and recording equipment.

Special Events

The Special Events Department supports the execution of high-level, college-wide events. They work in partnership with offices across campus to consult and provide up-to-date planning resources.

Public Safety

Events with alcohol, VIP speakers, and large attendance may require additional support from Macalester’s Public Safety Department. As an event host it is essential to be aware of the emergency procedures and be able to follow them.
